The Sky is NOT Falling Charger Fans

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

I sat in my seat at Qualcomm Stadium yesterday and I couldn’t help but notice a lot of fans that were less than impressed with what was happening on the field. The boos could be heard all over the stadium, fans yelling their distaste with the performance on the field were all around me – now I need to point out that there were a lot of Dolphins fans in the stadium yesterday so I am sure this accounted for the some of the upset spectators, but not all. If we honestly take a look at the Charge

America’s 10 greenest brands?

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

What are the “greenest” brands in the U.S.? Until we can define “green,” there’s no meaningful way to answer that question. Of course, that doesn’t stop people from having, and expressing, opinions. Last summer, a group of agencies owned by the giant marketing and communications company WPP – the PR firm Cohn & Wolfe, branding experts Landor Associates and pollster-consultants Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates (PSB) – joined with Esty Environmental Partners, a consulting firm run by

Do We Have A Boat For Roman Abramovich!

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Knowing Roman Abramovich’s penchant for massive boats , we couldn’t help but think of him when we saw this one. The SS United States–the fastest ocean liner in the world– is for sale. If Roman buys the Big U and starts renovations now, it will be ready by the time he gets bored of the Eclipse! Right now, the Big U

HE SUFFERED, DIED, AND WAS BURIED IN THE TURF

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Lapsed and practicing Catholic alike, take heed: this is quite funny (if only for point-by-point textual accuracy.) For our sake Tim was suplexed under Taylor Wyndham, he suffered, died, and was buried in the turf… If being raised Catholic taught us nothing, it was a fine respect for rote memorization, the absurdities of bureaucracy, and the need to run away from friendly older men. One parallel we’re thinking of in model, but certainly not degree: Brook Berringer. The only real com

I’ve been featured on OhDeeDoh!

Monday, September 28th, 2009

LOOK!! I posted a photo in my “A day in the life” stream, showing a project I haven’t quite finished yet and it was picked up and posted on OhDeeDoh which is one of my favourite blogs, ever. I am so honoured – thank you for featuring me! The project featured is this table which I’ve découpaged for Findlay and Nairn’s bedroom. The kids’ Godfather, Dave, is moving out of his flat and has given me a few bits of furniture that he was going to throw out. He and I are hoarding kindred spirits,
